Tony is still seeing Kathleen (not shown in this episode), but Angela has broken up with Peter because he wanted to get too serious. Tony wants Angela to get out and have fun, so Mona takes her to the local jazz club. As Tony says later, Angela moves from first to fifth gear, including singing a sexy rendition of "Fever." T & A flirt some here, despite his involvement with Kathleen, and we see more of how Mona views her relationship with Angela.
A man with the unlikely name of Fred Asparagus plays Del Moore here and would be Jerry Garcia on Roseanne. Colette Duvall makes her first of five appearances on Who's the Boss?, here as the Cello Teacher. Jerry Vale appears as himself in the tag.
