Adam West hosts this set of random clips of mostly 1960s cartoons, interspersed with not particularly funny live-action scenes, although I did smile at his claiming to have been the Professor on Gilligan's Island. Some of the cartoons are indeed obscure (I didn't know then and don't know now what they are), while others are part of pop culture, like Speed Racer.  And, yes, the Jay Ward shows George of the Jungle, Super Chicken, and Tom Slick are well represented.

This episode is from when Batman was the hot new show, airing twice a week, including right before Gidget.  I taped it off cable in the early '90s because of the appearance of Donna Loren.  This is actually part two of the adventure, but the recap at the beginning of course explains everything.  The cliffhanger of part one is resolved by a blackout, which the Joker notes is like the one that hit New York City a few months earlier.  Loren plays head cheerleader Susie (with a squad of only three girls counting her), who's been corrupted by the Joker's gifts, including a bottle of imported Canadian perfume.  It's suggested that Dick Grayson has a crush on her, but he's too much of a goody-goody, unable to convincingly pretend to be a smoker.

Kip King, who plays Nick, would be on Bosom Buddies about 15 years later.  Murray Golden would go on to direct Sigmund and the Sea Monsters.
