Dawn Aldredge wrote this episode with a man who has no other IMDB credits.  It's the weakest episode of the season so far, although it has its moments.  Joe Rossini runs off with another woman.  His wife, Carmela, is very upset, not only at being abandoned but at having to run the fish-store alone.  Angela suggests that Tony help out, but things don't go well.  I would've gone with a C, but it perks up when Marty Di Nardo (Todd Susman, at this point 40 but playing 35) shows up.  Bunny Summers, who played a Wardrobe Lady on That Girl, is Mrs. Cassio here.

Burt Prelutsky wrote this story where Hawkeye pushes the unsubtly named Colonel Victor Bloodworth (Charles Aidman, who'd be Fred on Bosom Buddies).  He almost faces another court-martial trial, but the colonel sees how much good Hawkeye does and drops the charges.  Meanwhile, Charles refuses to share gourmet food with his bunkies but does with Margaret, whom he seems to be trying to slowly seduce.  And Klinger is thrilled to meet someone from Toledo.

Twenty-five-year-old Jerry Houser, Marcia Brady's future husband, plays Danker here and would be a Robber on Soap in the next time slot.  Kellye Nakahara (Yamato) and Todd Susman (taking up his PA Announcer duties, perhaps because Viscuso was busy on Soap) return.  Radar is absent again.

As with the previous Stuart Margolin M*A*S*H episode, a potentially good story is ruined by his character (this time Maj. Stanley "Stosh" Robbins) attacking Houlihan, and its being played for laughs.  Not that I'm crazy about the approval of plastic surgery but there are some funny lines and it's nice to see twenty-six-year-old Todd Susman (who seems to be wearing make-up to change the shape of his nose, but then we never see him post-surgery) as Private Danny Baker.

Bobbie Mitchell (now Nurse Lyons), Kellye Nakahara (Yamato), and Patricia Stevens (Nurse Mitchell) return.  This is the first of three M*A*S*H scripts from Erik Tarloff.
