Bob Nickman wrote this story that feels like more of a return to what was good about the series, even if it is missing Becky and Darlene and it does have crazy!Jackie. Dan's old band (played by Blues Traveler) is in Chicago and he wonders what might've been. He and Roseanne quarrel but she proves she understands his dreams. Meanwhile, D.J. is raising mice to sell to a lab and ends up blackmailing David for help. Note that Darlene's birthday is supposed to be coming up, although three years before her Sweet Sixteen was in a mid-October episode.
John McConnell is back as Bob.
