In Roland MacLane's last GI script, the degree of the Skipper's, and Gilligan's, guilt in the shipwreck is re-examined and resolved (till the first reunion movie anyway). Unlike in the first season, Mr. Howell no longer blames the Skipper, and certainly no one else does. Shipping notes, Ginger tries to seduce the Skipper out of suicide, telling him that Gilligan is just a boy, Mr. Howell is married, and the Professor is only interested in her mind. And in Gilligan's dream sequence, he and Ginger are flirty, including her asking how she can ever thank him, and him giving her the once-over and saying he'll think of something.
