In the subplot, Becky has her very first date, with Chip Lang (Jared Rushton again). The main plot is a pun on the title, with Dan tempted to break his promise to Roseanne ten years ago that he wouldn't get in fights anymore. We see a darker side of Dan here, underscored by Darlene witnessing him punch a sheet of drywall. And we also get some insights into his relationship with Roseanne. I would've gone with a B+, but the episode is slow to get going and I don't feel like Jackie, Booker, and Crystal are given much to do.
Andrea Walters makes her first of three appearances as Chip's mother Bonnie. Nancy Fish returns as Claire the Lobo bartender. And Bill Sadler makes his first of two appearances as Dan's friend Dwight.
