Ralph Bellamy guest stars as Bob's former professor and new assistant, Alan Dreeben, in this Lloyd Garver story. We learn that Mrs. Bakerman's late husband was named Burl. And we see the Hartleys' new bedroom, which looks nothing like their previous one, suggesting that, if we accept the closing moments of Newhart, then Bob dreamed this sixth season as well.
