This Wayne & Burditt episode is one that made me wonder as a kid why the Ropers didn't just get a divorce.  Stanley refuses to give Helen an additional $20/week allowance, so she threatens to get a job.  Janet pressures her into going through with it, ignoring Helen's right to be a housewife.  Even though Jack on the "Stanley Casanova" episode made at least as big a mess for the Ropers, he here sees himself as needing to unscrew the mess the girls (mostly Janet) made, but he makes it worse.  Finally, Helen has to straighten it out herself.  Notable for Jack wearing a version of Robin's naughty apron on Man About the House, with much silent reaction from Stanley, and a wincey moment (wisely left out of syndication) where Chrissy says, "Bring our boys home!" (in reference to Mrs. Roper losing the battle but not the war).

Paul Ainsley returns as Jim the Bartender.
