Budd Grossman wrote this episode that's reminiscent of the one where Jack and Janet make a bet that he can't give up girls as long as Chrissy can give up food, this time with him possibly winning $25.  But it goes in a different direction when Mr. Furley meets Martha (Barbara Stuart, who had previously played Mrs. Medford, who Mr. Furley wanted to move in when Chrissy left), who wants a date for her friend, Ellen Simmons (Taaffe O'Connell, in her middle role on 3'sC).  I don't know why Jack thinks he can get away with taking Ellen to his apartment, but he almost does.  Both Stuart and O'Connell give nice performances, the former more serious, the other with some good reactions, as in the still above.

For the next year and a half, I'm mostly going to be watching Three's Company, for reasons I'll go into when we get to the Fall '83 premiere.  For now, I'll just say if they were all this good or better, that would be fine.
