Jodie and Barney check out of the hospital and promise to stay in touch, although unfortunately they don't.  Nurse Nancy Darwin (Udana Power) tricks Jodie into agreeing to a dinner date.  Burt is thrilled and gives him some dubious advice, including "No means yes," which Jodie deliberately misinterprets.  Jessica tells Chester she'll set aside his adultery for now, unless he starts up again.  And when she finds out that Peter is still seeing Sheila Fine (Nita Talbot), she threatens to kill him for ruining her daughter's happiness.  When Corinne finds out offscreen about him cheating (presumably with someone else, since it's evening rather than morning), she checks into a sleazy motel where Father Tim reluctantly meets her so they can talk.  She twice says she could kill Peter.  And in the last scene, Peter is indeed murdered!  As the following episodes would show, there would be more than two suspects.

Billy, the Major, and Danny are absent.
