Paul Perlove wrote this episode, as he did "Snappy Judgment."  Charles defends Max at the courtmartial hearing, not out of friendship (despite past bonding, Klinger is convinced that Winchester hates him), but out of his own conceit.  Of course he bungles things, and it's up to Hawkeye and BJ to come up with a scheme to trap the real thief.

Monty Bane (Crooked M.P.), Jim Boeke (this time an M.P.), Peter Hobbs (this time Col. Drake), and Kellye Nakahara (Yamato) return.
