Ken Hecht, who wrote one episode of What's Happening!!, co-wrote this episode with someone who didn't contribute to any other of my shows.  Larry passes on a blind date to Jack, but the woman seems perfect: lovely, bright, and successful.  Soon, Jack is in love with Denise (Karen Austin, who'd been Chester's Woman, I think the one he disguises as a table, on Soap, as well as Larry's girlfriend Jennifer that he wanted to move into #201 after Chrissy left).  Unfortunately, she's very controlling, not only making Jack dress like "a dish of spumoni" (see the picture, although the colors are more vivid on TV), but planning their wedding and his new career.  J/J shippers take note that Janet seems a lot more upset about all this than Terri is, although arguably it could be because she cares about Jack platonically and doesn't want to see him selling out his whole self to please someone.

Melanie Vincz, who was Kathy on Mork & Mindy and previously Sylvia on this show, is the Girl here (I think the one who borrows a chair from Jack's table).
