Ellen Guylas wrote this story that starts out pretty well but then goes somewhat awry. Janet has a crush on the new Regal Beagle bartender Bob but she's too shy and/or old-fashioned to ask him out, until Larry's sexism annoys her enough. Jack encourages her but inadvertently sets up a situation where Terri accompanies Janet to the pub without knowing why Janet is going. Then when Janet tries to ask Bob out, he thinks she's setting him up with Terri. The girls seem to work things out, but Janet continues to resent and be jealous of Terri, while initially pretending otherwise. And the girls get very childish about it, even doing raspberries at each other. In a way, it's nice to get more women writing for the show, but I'm not yet seeing them having any more insight into the female characters. In fact, Jack comes off the best in this episode, except when he acts childishly about Terri accidentally setting Bob up with Jack's date. Note that we are definitely in the era of both Jack and Larry dressing up for dates more, compared to the casual look of the first half of the series run.
