Darlene is seeing another guy, Jimmy from art school (not yet shown), and David pretends he's OK with it but eventually makes her choose. She chooses Jimmy and David calls her a cold-hearted bitch. Meanwhile, both Dan and Roseanne are having doubts about the new baby, although they tried to conceive a year ago, and they confide in Jackie before trying to talk it out together. Not quite a B+, but definitely better than the previous episode, and with plot threads that will take awhile to resolve. Note that Roseanne is 42 at this point, and the previous episode said that Dan is 44. D.J. is still 12, perhaps to make up for that time he skipped from 10 to 12.
