The secret in this Baser & Weiskopf story is that a month ago Janet told her parents, that she just got married to Jack.  And now her parents, Roland (Macon McCalman, who had previously played the creepy Mr. Penrose) and Ruth (39-year-old Paula Shaw, who had been Dr. Tammy Ziegler on The Bob Newhart Show, presumably here with gray added to her hair for her to pass as DeWitt's mother), are visiting from Indiana.  I don't know if we're supposed to assume she's been keeping this secret since around the time of "Jack to the Rescue," or how such a usually sensible person thought she could get away with this.  But anyway, that's the premise, leading to a lot of farce of course.  Note that Janet refers to her sister as having had a baby.  Does this mean Jenny dropped out of college, got married, and had a kid all in the time since we last saw her?  Or does Janet have another sister?

Sondra Currie has her middle of three 3'sC roles, as Jack's date Shelley Green, and she was Nora Dubois on BNS.
