In this Staretski & Rips story, the trio's married friends, Carol and Bob (Don Sparks in the first of two appearances which use his height to advantage in relation to Jack), fall victim to an innocent story being distorted into a tale of adultery.  Jack and Janet try to patch things up but make it worse, so it's up to Larry and Terri to straighten things out.  It's interesting to see not only other tenants but another apartment (with a different floor plan) in the building.

Brad Blaisdell and Pamela Dunlap return as Mike the Bartender and Lily the Barmaid, doing their bit to spread the gossip.
