Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: The Waiting

We're taking baby steps towards a music video proper. The band is now on a set and there's a bit of visual wizardry (the paper ripping). But this feels so restrained compared to something like the J. Geils Band's "Freeze Frame," which came out later that year. (I doubt I have it on tape but I did just watch it on Youtube.) Here we have triangles, rope, and a stage carefully painted to look like it's been splattered with paint, as opposed to JGB splattering paint on each other during the video. Anyway, "The Waiting" is still a good song.
