Alda directed this episode which he co-wrote with the series' medical adviser, Walter D. Dishell.  It's one that has a gimmick that works, in this case an onscreen clock that ticks down how much time is left for the procedure.  I like how we get different perspectives throughout, including from a dying patient's buddy.

Roy Goldman (as Roy Goldman), Jeff Maxwell (Straminsky), Kellye Nakahara (Yamato), and Joann Thompson (Nurse Jo Ann) return, and in fact we find out that Kellye is part Chinese and part Hawaiian.  (OK, we still know more about, e.g. Father Mulcahy's sister, but it's a start.)  J.J. Johnston played a nameless Man on The Bob Newhart Show and is the Helicopter Pilot here.
