This Kelly & O'Malley story doesn't successfully blend the serious issue of nuclear waste (the title references The China Syndrome) and comedy that pushes the limits of plausibility, including Mindy in drag, but points for trying. And, yes, yet another Nixon reference. Note that Mork says Mindy is about 23, which fits with her being 21 in the first season.
Alan McRae, who plays Airman McFarland, was Corporal Nessen on M*A*S*H and by this point had played his first of two Three's Company characters, Phil. And Robert Hogan, who has a lot of credits and a face you can't quite place, was Smilin' Jack Mitchell on M*A*S*H as well as Capt. Chapman here.
