This Dennis Koenig story is middling, except for one great scene near the end, where Potter explains his recent mood swings: he has won a tontine made during World War I.  He's the last survivor of five war buddies.  He misses his old friends but is grateful for his friends in the 4077th.  The acting by Morgan and the others, notably Stiers, who seems to have genuine tears in his eye, is top-notch.  Why the episode has to end on a scene about starched shorts, I don't know.

Jane Connell, who was Laura on That Girl, plays Red Cross Worker Betty Halpern.  Sally Imamura makes her first of two appearances as a Korean Girl.  Jeff Maxwell (Straminsky) and Kellye Nakahara (Yamato) return.
