This first of five Roseanne stories written by Brad Isaacs has a lot of great, funny moments, including one of the funniest things Lecy Goranson was ever given to say (after Becky comes home from a date). Roseanne and Dan try to cope with not only Becky growing up but Darlene, who makes out with a boy, Brian (Matt Norero in his first of two appearances), after never having even been kissed before. It's wonderful to see all the characters play off each other-- Jackie's cop-like explanation of birth control is a little gem-- and I feel like the show is really hitting its stride. OK, D.J. still doesn't have a lot to do, but he's still pretty young.
Brian Kerwin returns as Gary, who we haven't seen in awhile, although Gary has been mentioned.
