The first Brady episode that George Tyne directed is more serious than usual, with the kids treating Alice like a snitch and her getting her feelings so hurt that she leaves and takes another job.  I think this is a better episode than the one in the first season where she almost left, partly because the genuine closeness of the cast has grown over those three years.  It's a pity that Robert Reed is absent, since it would've been good to see Mr. Brady's reaction to her departure, but Florence Henderson does a fine job reacting to Alice and the kids.  Note that Greg and Peter don't seem to have learned anything from the "Mom's favorite vase" episode, since playing Frisbee in the house is even more foolish than playing ball.

Oh, and a few words about the "Bobby and Cindy want to skinnydip" scene that sometimes is omitted in broadcasts.  I was Cindy's age later in the '70s and there was still a carryover of the '60s attitude of nudity not necessarily being sexual, but rather "natural" and "free," or in the case of the Bradys' doctor neighbor "healthy."  That said, a moderate couple like Mike and Carol (liberal in some ways, conservative in others) would not approve of swimming naked any more than Wait Till Your Father Gets Home's Harry Boyle would, and Alice's reaction is absolutely appropriate.

Snag Werris's third of four Brady roles is as Alice's new boss, Mr. Foster.
