Davis and Music wrote this episode where Emily, at the beginning of her summer vacation, needs something to occupy her time, so she takes up tennis.  Her pro is very attractive, but this is Emily Hartley, not Jessica Tate, so they of course don't fool around.  In fact, she tells Bob she never went for the "good-looking guys," in a scene well played by both Newhart and Pleshette.  This is the episode where Carol and Howard actually meet, and Howard at this point does not remember Jerry's last name.

This is the first BNS directed by Alan Rafkin, who'd directed one That Girl episode.
