I was sure this episode was going to go in the direction of them recruiting the Maries' maid Laura to fill in as chef at the restaurant while Ann's parents are away, but I think she's just here to play chaperone while Ann and Donald have to stay over a couple nights.  With a boyfriend played by Al Molinaro, it's a little like the Alice and Sam dynamic on The Brady Bunch and, along with the hijinks at the restaurant, this is a funnier episode than usual.

Steve Benson, who plays the Chicken Boy, previously was a Porter.  Louis De Farra, who's Pierre here, would be Oscarelli later.  Bud Grossman had written for Gilligan's Island and would write for Three's Company, but this is his only That Girl script.
