Carol suddenly becomes overprotective about one of her stepsons playing sports, even though she's never had an issue with it before. And Bobby is also uncharacteristic in sort of hero-worshiping Greg in this episode, although for his photography skills, not his football playing. Bart La Rue is again the Coach, and the script was written by Tom and Helen August, who'd done the other "football" episode, "The Drummer Boy."
