Wengrod & Cinnamon wrote this stronger half of the two-parter. Angela feels like she's lost her self after losing her job, especially when she sees how hard it is to get another position in advertising. Tony is very supportive here, speaking of "family" and "love." And when she settles for a job as copywriter, despite ten years' hard work to become President of Wallace & McQuade, he encourages her to start her own agency. Mona is supportive, too, although in her teasing way. And there's a nice scene where Sam comforts Jonathan about his "poverty." The Bower Agency's ups and downs will be a thread through the remaining six years of the series, but this episode is also about the blended family, Tony and Angela in particular. When she apologizes for crying in front of him, since it's not like her to do so, he reminds her he's not just anybody, he's Tony. She smiles and says, "I'm lucky."
