In this story by Glazer, Honigblum, and Phillips, Jonathan asks out his crush, Jenny Wittener (Keri Houlihan in her last appearance), to the movies. Unfortunately, she develops a crush on Tony. Jonathan kills Tony in a nightmare and is relieved to wake up and see that his friend is OK.
I'm not clear when this is set, since Jonathan might be 10. (Tony refers to him being 11 in the future.) And Jenny looks up Saturday the 12th in her day-planner, but the nearest months with a Saturday the 12th were July 1986 and September 1987, neither of which sound right. I'm going to guess that Jenny misread the calendar or just pretended to be consulting it. And, yes, there's a certain irony in Pintauro's character saying he's giving up on girls, although in fact we'd see Jonathan develop many more crushes on girls over the remaining five and a half seasons.
