This, the first of six episodes Harris co-wrote with Tony Lang, introduces Bob Seagren as Dennis Phillips, Jodie's NFL quarterback boyfriend.  Dennis is closeted and worries about what would happen to his career if his sexuality were revealed.  We find out that Jodie, who directs TV commercials, is getting the sex change so that he and Dennis can keep dating, which Dennis realizes is a bad reason, but Jodie thinks it'll all work out.

We also find out Eunice's profession, a reporter, and there's a hint that Benson knows she is fooling around with a politician.  Corinne is unemployed and spends her nights out.  Billy asks Molly to go steady.  Jessica tries to end her affair with Peter, but instead sleeps with him again, and Corinne shows up at Peter's apartment afterwards.  Pigeon catches Chester and Claire together at a restaurant, while Claire continues to blackmail him and now wants him to divorce Jessica.  And Danny unsuccessfully tries to kill Burt in their kitchen but Burt is oblivious.

I'm not sure when this is set, since it begins in the morning and then seems to go into the early evening of that same day.  Since Day #2 was Danny finding out that Burt killed Mr. Dallas (his first name Johnny hasn't yet been revealed), I'm going to say that this is Day #3.  It would have to be less than a week later, because it seems like the various threads would've progressed more than this in that span.
