Kaplan wrote this conclusion to the previous week's episodes. The Kotters have taken their newborns home and now Julie's mother and father (Jack Dodson, who was an Andy Griffith Show regular, and who would be Ricky on Mork & Mindy) show up from Nebraska and stay for a few days. I don't know if it's sloppiness in Kaplan's writing or if this copy has the information edited out, but the subplot of Vinnie being left back is unresolved. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, since the babies are cute, as even Woodman admits.
