This is the first of three BNS stories written by Hugh Wilson (later of WKRP) and more intelligently written than some of the recent episodes. Howard has the chance for custody of Howie (Moosie Drier), who's now definitely a preteen, with hip handshakes, a love of rock, and a crush on his babysitter. Drier remains a nice, natural performer, and I particularly like the scene on the couch, where we see that he's sort of a parent to his father, but also still a kid himself.
Amzie Strickland makes her first of two BNS appearances, as Mrs. Walhauser. Bonerz directed.
