In this story by the Farrs, Jerry returns from several months' travel in Europe with the goal of finding his parents. It turns out he's half English and his mum lost him during the Battle of Britain (1940, when Jerry would've been two). He uses up all his savings on the search and so has to come out of retirement. Meanwhile, Howard takes up the bass.
Steven Anderson, who's the Young Man here, would be Higgins on Three's Company. It sounds like Hesseman announcing the midget wrestling show.
