As the title of this Patchett & Tarses script suggests, Bob's friend the Peeper returns.  Cliff's wife Marie has run off with the milkman, which Bob at first thinks is a joke.  Jerry takes Cliff and Bob to the singles bar the Sure Thing, where Bob is hit on by three women, including Veronica Hamel.  And meanwhile, Bob takes a week to notice that the reception area has been painted orange.

The fourth season starts out great and then declines somewhat, hitting a C at one point, averaging out to a very high B- overall.  Marrying off Carol is a mistake but isn't a large one.  The show seems to be shifting away from realism towards whimsy, although less than Newhart's '80s series would do.  For a long while, the last two seasons were unavailable on DVD, so I'm curious to see how Season Five will look to me now.
