Phil Davis's first of four BNS scripts needed a rewrite, because it uses domestic violence for humor.  Not only is Howard's ex-wife's current husband trying to run her over (not shown at least), but the husband of Emily's friend is very angry and violent, and the language he uses to express his "love" is menacing.  Even Bob twice tells Emily to shut up.  Well, at least we get to see the re-redecoration of the Hartleys' apartment, and the string of cliches routine is cute.

Cynthia Harris, who's Diane Nugent, would later make a memorable appearance on Three's Company as Mrs. Layton.  Mike Henry, who plays Frank Nugent, would be one of the two actors to play Margaret's husband Lt. Col. Donald Penobscot on M*A*S*H.  The title of this episode would ricochet off of the remaining two of the season.
