I would've given a B to this Gelbart & Marks story, if not for the rape joke.  (Male rape for a change.)  Other than that, it's a good episode, about courage and fear, and how sometimes you have to trust your enemies.  Also, it's nice to see Klinger step forward and volunteer (in a uniform), in hopes that bravery will get him out if "nutsery" won't.

Mako had played Casey on Gidget and his role of Dr. Lin Tam is his first of four on this show.  Bobbie Mitchell (Nurse Mitchell) returns.  Loudon Wainwright III makes his first of three appearances as Capt. Calvin Spalding, his "North Korean Blues" making an ironic underscore (pun intended) to the episode.
