Although there are some amusing moments in this Patchett & Tarses story, like all the Smitties, I'm not clear what the message is. Maybe it's that we should be patient with incompetent people, like Shirley O'Hara's Debbie Flett, since they have feelings, too. But I couldn't help feeling sorry for Carol, going to a funeral and coming back to chaos.
Mr. Carlin is again in an inappropriate group, this time the Over 60s. The rest of the group is seen elsewhere in my TV collection. Lucian Scott returns as Mr. Vickers. Maxine Stuart was a Manager on That Girl and is Mrs. Chaney here. Paula Victor, who's Mrs. Della Vella here, would be Miss Fishbeck on Welcome Back, Kotter. (Still no sign of Mrs. Bakerman by the way, but she would return.)
